Strategic Alliance
LifeLabs and Multiplex Genomics have formed a strategic alliance that will greatly expand Canada’s capacity to track COVID-19 and its variants. The need for high-volume testing is critical for our national response to the coronavirus pandemic, especially for efforts to halt its transmission. Through this joint effort, LifeLabs and Multiplex Genomics are positioning their organizations to analyze 20,000 COVID-19 samples a day, with plans to grow to 50,000 by mid-2021. Moreover, every positive sample will be sequence characterized to assign it to a variant.
Quality
Our Lab is licensed, accredited, and exceeds the standards of diagnostic testing. All specimens are processed at our laboratory in Guelph, Ontario, with all data analysis performed on fully secure and encrypted servers. Our quality policy is built on the concepts of quality control, employing controls built into our procedures at every step, and quality assurance, supported by regular internal audits and inspections.
Multiplex Genomics holds a laboratory license under the Ontario Ministry of Health and ISO 15189 accredited by Accreditation Canada.
